Vayalar Rama Varma-Award for 2013.-Prabha Varma

 Poet Prabha Varma’s Shyama Madhavam, a collection of poems, has won the 37th Vayalar Rama Varma Memorial Literary Award for 2013.

                                     

Prabha Varma (born 1959) is an Indian poet, lyricist, journalist and television presenter..Varma has worked as the Deshabhimani Delhi bureau chief for 12 years and is now working as the director of Kairali TV. He presents the programme "India Inside" aired on Kairali. A communist sympathiser, Varma also served as the Press Secretary to E. K. Nayanar, former Chief Minister of Kerala.

His poetry collection Arkkapoornima won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 1995.
